It's hard to get a new business out there and to build a good reputation over a short period of time, so bear with us as we make the entrance into the Computer Retailing world. Where is BNZ Computers Located?
We are currently located in Anchorage, Alaska. We know it may seem like a very remote location, but we guarantee that the Shipping rates and speeds are identical to those in the Continental US, if not better.
What is the Base-Line Computer?
Our Base-Line model is the standard computer that we sell at BNZ Computers. It can be upgraded and customized to meet any specific needs, but it has just the right specifications to fit all average users. These days, even surfing the web can take a powerful computer. With embedded flash games and videos, everyone needs a computer that can handle running many programs simultaneously and smoothly. Our Base-Line model packs a lot of strengh into a small form, and it is the perfect solution for anyone who needs a sleek, fast computer for every-day use in the home or office.
RAM, Processor, Hard Drive... What does it all mean??
- RAM stands for "Random Access Memory". It's storage space that your computer can read and write to very quickly. RAM is used to store information that is in temporary use for different programs. The amount of RAM that you have relates to things like how many programs you can run simultaneously and how many windows you can have open at one time.
- A Computer Processor is what handles the information being calculated when you are using a program. Your processor speed affects the speed and smoothness of the applications that you run. Having a fast processor will allow better video and game play, as well as faster overall computer performance.
- The Hard Drive is what stores all of your files and folders. The more hard drive space you have, the more pictures, videos, and music you can save.
How much do these computers cost?
Our Base-Line Computer is $600.00 USD. Any software or hardware upgrades that you order will be charged on top of the Base-Line price.
Is there an Operating System included with the Base-Line computer?
The Base-Line machine does not include a Windows operating system for the $600.00 price. If requested, we will install Ubuntu Linux free of charge. You can check the prices for Windows Vista and Windows XP in our Operating System section of the Customize menu. If ordered with an operating system, your computer will be shipped with the OS installed. If you would like us to leave the OS for you to install yourself, please let us know in your order details.
How much is shipping?
Shipping charges are based primarily on your location. We ship worldwide, but charges tend to vary. We are in the process of setting up a shipping calculator, but at the moment we request that you send shipping questions to us via the Contact/Order form.
What kind of warranty comes with these computers?
Each computer we sell comes with a 3 month warranty service that covers all Hardware and Software installed by us. For the first three months that you own your new computer, you can contact us at any time about issues with your PC. If your computer has malfunctioned within those three months, we will reimburse you the shipping charges to ship it to us, and it will be fixed promptly. However, if we deduce that the problem was caused by the buyer, the buyer will be required to pay for the repair and return shipping charges.
What happens if I receive a computer that doesnt work? am I covered?
Yes! You are covered. Our computers are not sent out until they have been fully tested, but we know that "interesting" things can happen in the shipping process. If you receive a computer that does not work, we will re-imburse you for the shipping cost to ship it back to us and we will ship you a new machine as soon as we verify that the shipping and handling service was at fault.
